Grate Bars of Sintering Pallet Car

  • Introduction

The grate bar is the main accessory on the trolley of the sintering machine, and its function is to form a trough-shaped space with the rail of the trolley to accommodate and carry mineral materials. The part of the grate bar in contact with the mineral material is the upper surface, and the two ends of the upper part of the grate bar are supported by force.

The bottom of the grate has two functions. The first is to fix the grate during turning and unloading so that it cannot fall off; the second is to support the grate when the top of the grate is compressed, which can effectively prevent the grate from bending.

 

Materialordinary cast iron, heat-resistant ductile iron, high chromium alloy cast iron and multi-alloyed high chromium alloy cast iron materials.

 

Grate working environment:

1. Large temperature changes: during sintering, the temperature of the sintered ore is as high as 1100, and the temperature of the grate is generally 800-1000; after unloading, the temperature in the air drops to 100-300.

2. Gas corrosion: oxidation and corrosion of CO, CO2, SO2 and water vapor in the atmosphere.

3. High temperature load-bearing: bear the gravity of sinter during high temperature sintering.

4. Impact and friction and wear of sintered ore: impact and friction and wear of sintered ore during loading and unloading.

5. Erosion of high temperature and high speed powder-gas two-phase flow.

The advantages of grate bars have excellent high temperature oxidation resistance, high temperature strength, high temperature creep properties and room temperature impact toughness, which significantly increase the service life of the grate bars, which not only helps to ensure the stability of the sintering machine, but also increase the utilization rate and work efficiency. Energy saving and consumption reduction, conducive to reducing the labor intensity of the sintering process and improving the working environment; the use of advanced lost foam casting technology improves production efficiency and reduces the cost of grate production.
