How to improve the grinding accuracy and reduce the surface roughness?

Cast iron plate accuracy: According to the standard metrological verification procedures, there are four levels of 0, 1, 2, and 3. The material is high-strength cast iron HT200-300. The hardness of the working surface is HB170-240. The large cast iron plate, the cast iron measuring plate, and the large cast iron platform are introduced in detail.

There are several ways to improve grinding accuracy and reduce surface roughness:

(1) Before grinding, the parts should be finished, so that the surface to be ground has higher precision and lower surface roughness, and then the fine processing is carried out by grinding.

(2) The rough grinding and grinding plate should be separated from the fine grinding, so that according to the precision requirements, the different grinding material size can be selected to reduce the surface roughness of the grinding.

(3) There should be a reasonable grinding gap between the grinding tool and the surface to be researched (especially the grinding of holes and shafts). When the gap is small, shaving will occur, and when the gap is large, there will be slight shape errors due to the small swing of the grind.

(4) The homogeneity of the workpiece data also affects the grinding accuracy. The uneven hardness and the arrangement of the materials show the appearance that the grinding quality is not high. For this reason, the workpiece should be properly heat treated before finishing.

(5) Choose a suitable grinding cast iron plate allowance. Each grinding surface part has a uniform margin.
