What are the details of the scraping operation for the round rotary tables?

Scraping is one of the methods of flat surface finishing of round cast iron platform. It is to reduce the surface roughness value, improve the contact accuracy and geometric accuracy, thereby improving the mating rigidity, lubrication performance, mechanical efficiency and service life of the machine tool. It is also difficult to achieve with only surface grinders and rail grinders, machine tools and cast iron round rotary tables through the processing technology.

The so-called "scraping" is a combination of the two processes of scraping and grinding. That is, plane scraping-grinding to display, and then plane scraping-re-grinding to display, so reciprocating, alternately and constantly operating. The surface roughness value and shape and position error of the cast iron plate are gradually reduced; the contact accuracy and geometric accuracy are gradually improved during operation until the specified requirements are met.

 

After the round cast iron plate and the grind tool are polished, the surface of the cast iron plate on the convex part shows all black spots, and the black spots are divided into bright spots, thick black spots, and light black spots. These black spots are a variable in scraping. After continuous alternating operation and continuous scraping, the black spots have changed from sparse to dense, from uneven distribution to uniform distribution. The evolution process of black spots is also a process of gradual improvement in surface finish, surface contact accuracy, and surface geometric accuracy.

 

The black spots displayed by grinding should be treated differently. For thick black dots, the size of the knife traces should be scraped according to the three stages of coarse. The direction of the knife traces should be arranged in the same direction, and gradually scrape until all the black dots are scraped. After grinding and displaying, scraping in staggered directions will also scrape all the black dots. Point out that every round of scraping, the knife marks are staggered, otherwise it will affect the surface finish. In the scraping process, you should press lighter, darker, and lighter on the dark spots.

 

There should be more force on the bright spots and large dark spots. The strong dark spots should be moderately strong, and the light dark spots should be reserved. Do not scrape, scrape again when the next wheel turns black after the display, highlighting the bright spots distributed on the flat edges and corners of the cast iron plate. Because the hidden cloth is scarce, it is easy to be ignored by the human eye and easy to miss scraping. Because the missing scraping points tend to lift up the polishing plate during grinding, which hinders the normal display of black dots, the phenomenon that the more black dots are scraped will be formed.
