Eight qualification standards for testing cast iron surface plates
2021-06-17 16:01:04

1. There should be no rust, scratches, bruises and other appearance defects that affect the use of the work surface.

2. There should be no casting defects such as sand holes, pores, cracks, slag inclusions and shrinkage on the working surface. All kinds of casting surfaces should be free of molding sand, the surface should be smooth, the paint should be firm, and the edges should be blunt. On the flat working surface with an accuracy level of less than "00", the sand hole with a diameter of less than 15mm is allowed to be blocked with the same material, and its hardness should be lower than the hardness of the surrounding materials. There should be no more than four blocked parts on the working surface, and the distance between them should be no less than 80mm.

3. On the opposite sides, there should be threaded holes or cylindrical holes for installing handles, rings and other lifting facilities. When designing the hoisting position, consider minimizing the changes caused by hoisting.

4. According to user requirements, after threaded holes or grooves are set on the working surface of the plate, these parts should not be raised above the working surface.

5. It should be made of fine-grained gray cast iron or alloy cast iron.

6. The hardness of the working surface should be HB 170-220.

7. The working surface should adopt the scraping process. For the "III" surface plate, the planing process can also be used. The surface roughness of the planed working surface should not exceed 5um according to the contour arithmetic average deviation Ra.

8. It should be stabilized and demagnetized.
